Thanks for your help regarding my Mercedes-benz C320CDI's sat nav problem.
I was interested to read of the difficulties JG of London, SW5 is having with the Command sat nav on his Mercedes-Benz C320CDI. I also bought a 2009 320CDI and the satnav would only handle some UK postcodes. My colleague similarly bought a 220CDI at the same time. However, the build of his car was later than mine and he has the full range of UK postcodes on his Command system. Mercedes-Benz would do nothing about my problem until, on advice from you, I threatened to reject the car as unsuitable quality. Their response came within 24 hours and the latest software was installed giving me total range of UK postcodes. They would have preferred me to have bought the update for around £200. I hope this helps.

That's good news, confirmed by another reader who runs a private hire car company. It’s very helpful to anyone sold a car in the UK with an expensive hard disc satnav system that is of “unsatisfactory quality” because it cannot take UK 7-digit postal codes.
