Is this Golf a good bet?
My daughter (37 yrs old) has a 1999 1.8 Focus which is getting ropey. She is now interested in a 2005 Volkswagen Golf 1.6 FSI SE with 75K on the clock. The car is being sold via a dealer and has FSH and looks nice on the web.

Bad engine. Not a great car. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/volkswagen/golf-v-20...d A Focus for the same money is better built and cheaper to run.
