Uninsured driver smashed my wall
When I was on holiday a drunk, uninsured driver hit a bus and demolished my garden wall. I was initially unaware of the circumstances as, incredibly, the police failed to leave me any information for me as to what had happened.
By chance a stranger told me the Greenwich police arrived, got the driver, closed the road and cleared wreck from my wall.
The police still haven't replied to my enquiry yet, but the bus company have a complete report including video and a detailed damage report on my wall.

Contact the police. They have to give you the driver details because he damaged your property. You then sue him for the damage via the small claims track of the county court.
