Vauxhall Omega 2.2 CD Auto Gearbox Problem

I have an old Vauxhall Omega 2.2 CD Auto, which has developed a slight shudder at 50/55 mph. In addition to this, if I rest my hand on the selector, I can feel vibration and movement through the lever as if it were a manual.

Occasionally I will lose drive altogether for a second as if I'd pressed an imaginary clutch pedal. And that's about it; a shudder at 50, (but not always, ruling out balance and tracking, which I know to be OK), too much action through the selector and very occasional loss of drive.

I've heard this is a known issue on larger engined Vauxhall Automatics. The car has about 90,000 on it, so it 'shouldn't' be a dead gearbox, (hopefully!) I'd be very grateful for any info. Thanks!

They often had problems with the electrics/electronics in the selector. I'd get it to a member of www.fedauto.co.uk
