Winter tyres on a Note
I am trying to get winter tyres for my Nissan 2010 Note diesel. Most garages tell me they can't get the size I need 185/55R16 87H.
One dealer says it would be safe to use bigger tyre Hancock 195/50/16 and same rims would be used.
Would this be safe and how should I store my tyres over winter?
What price should four winter tyres cost?

Better to go down to the 15" steel wheels fitted to lower grade models with 185/65 R15 tyres. Clean first then store the summer alloys flat but off the ground in a dark place out of any sunlight. You're probably looking at around £600 for the wheels and tyres.
