Warranty from dealers
Following your previous advice I have purchased a petrol 4.2 S type May 2004, 74,000 miles in very good condition and a pleasure to own and drive.
However, after 2 weeks or so a red light came on with various messages; NO DSC / Park brake, engine management ETC. Car then slows to 5 mph I turned off engine and the car was ok after a few minutes. This occurs spasmodically, on consecutive days or after a further week or so.
I took the car into local Jaguar dealership (H.A. Fox) who could not find the fault when they had it (about 10 days). Have charged me £300 for investigating but they and Jaguar say "not covered by the Jaguar warranty as no fault found" Are they right? Do I claim against the other Jaguar dealership (Lancaster in Sidcup) where I purchased the car?
Outside temperature gauge can show 45C when its nearer 16C and radio/CD goes off every few seconds and then on again when Sat Nav is displayed. Have pointed this out to H.A. Fox, but they say they haven't noticed these two points.

Yes, you have to claim against the dealer who sold you the car. That dealer is liable for 6 months from date of sale. Neither Jaguar nor any of its other dealers are.
