Misfuelling - have I caused damage by driving?
My car was nearly empty. I put about 13L of unleaded-petrol in my 2008 VW Golf TDI 1.9. I was told if I filled the car up with diesel it would be fine. It seems ok when I'm driving, but when trying to start the car it takes about 3 to 4 attempts. Also the last time I tryed to start it, the oil warning light was coming on

13 litres is a lot. I (think) I have got away with 9.3 litres by constantly topping up the tank with the very best Shell V-Power diesel and using Wynns diesel lubricity additive. If the oil warning light is on, that might be unrelated. Could be low oil or lack of oil pressure because the oil pump is failing.
