Excessive oil consumption
Just bought a 2005 1.8 Barchetta for high days and holidays. Excellent condition 34,000 mile, full history etc. Just driven 2000 miles, not hard, over 40 mpg, but used 1.5 to 2 litre of oil. No leaks, but feel this is excessive.
I have read many cars, especially Fiats can use this level. The car had only done 1000 miles in the last two years. Could it need attention and could this be due to lack of use in the last 2 years?

Check the emissions. Might be valve stem oil seals.
