What car will fit in my small garage?

I live in a 1960’s terrace house with an unpowered garage in a block and no other off road parking. Consequently one of the requirements for a car is that it will fit in the garage and over the years, as cars have got wider, this has become more and more challenging.

While I don’t do a high mileage, I regularly do long motorway journeys

Last time I found that both a Fiesta or a MINI fitted. I chose the MINI as I felt it was more up market, I could fully load it with options, big enough for two people /luggage and is fine for long distances

Its now 5 years old and I am thinking of replacing it – other than another MINI (I believe they are the same width) are there any other options?

Thanks for your question. The Ford Fiesta used to be our go-to in the small car world, but unfortunately, it's not been sold new for a while. The MINI is still the most upmarket feeling of the bunch, but you might also want to consider the Renault Clio, which is a similar width, and Renault has made some huge strides recently in making its cars (the Clio included) feel plusher inside.
