Radar detectors

How much should I spend to buy a reliable speed camera/ radar detector for my car and how good are they?

If you are considering buying a speed camera detector we would suggest buying the best one you can afford, but for the most part they are reliant on the quality of the data they receive, so when considering various brands it is important to read the fine detail to determine which kinds of speed traps they can detect and how they receive information. It is also worth bearing in mind that navigation apps such as Waze and Google Maps can be configured to show speed camera alerts as well as your current speed and the speed limit on your current road.

Please could you re-state the currant law regarding speed camera detectors. I have a unit that detects fixed cameras and a plug in unit that detects radar laser mobile cameras. What is allowed?
I have recently received info on the above subject and on the face of it they appear just the ticket. Do you have any issues with it regarding legality, effectiveness and use on the continent?
