What is a good small PHEV?

We currently have a 2016 Mini Clubman and with the back seats down we can easily fit our three large dogs in. We would like to change to a plug in hybrid, what hatch back models are there of a similar size with a large boot area that our dogs would fit into?

We would suggest looking at cars like the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer, Skoda Octavia, Renault Rafale and Hyundai Ioniq, which are available as a plug-in hybrid and offer good space both with and without the rear seats folded.
