Long delivery times

Back in March this year I placed an order for a Mazda 6 with a specification that meant that the car would have to be built.

At that time a 4 month lead time was mentioned. This has subsequently become at least 6 months. No doubt by the time I take delivery the value of the part exchange included in the deal will be adjusted, but where do I stand should the new price or the financing deal have changed, or, in the case of the finance, no longer be available in the intervening period?

You face the new deal on the date you take delivery of the new car. Of course the part exchange will have dropped value. But the new car has gained more value than the old one has lost because it will be 6 months newer.
