A new family car
We currently have two cars, a Citroen Xsara Picasso and a Ford Ka Collection, on 54 plate (47,700 miles).
We are a family of 5 so obviously we cannot fit into the Ka and we are looking to replace it.
We would like to keep the Picasso as it is very economical for us but we would also like something slightly bigger. We are thinking of an optional 7-seater with a large boot when the boot seats are not in use. We have a budget of £5,000 plus part exchange. This car will be used primarily for the school run, which is 12 miles a day plus additional childrens activities, shopping, work etc. We estimate approx 100-120 miles per week.
Please could you recommend a car that would fit our requirements within our budget?

For £5k + the Ka it will have to be a Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra. See what Addison Lee will sell you one of its 2007 Galaxy autos for: Addison Lee corner of Hampstead Road and Granby Terrace, just South of Greater London House, London, tel 0207 3889799.

Good to drive and comfortable. Versatile with foldaway seats. Generally good quality. Diesel automatic option. Plenty of room in all back seats.
True seven-seater with more cheerful trim than its VW Sharan and Ford Galaxy equivalents. Good car-like drive.
