Knock Knock...
I have a 2002 Mondeo diesel with knocking at the rear on both sides. It started over 12 months ago.
Had a new sub frame fitted 3 years ago, had new anti roll bar links fitted 6 months ago. Been back to garage 4 times and they can't find anything. It's got through two MOTs like this.
Sometimes the knock seems to come from somewhere under the back doors when I go over bumps in the road.

In that case, with new subframe and bushes, it might just be the exhaust pipe knocking on part of the suspension.
