Focus or Golf?
I'm due to change my motability car and have narrowed down the choice to the new Focus 2.0 Diesel Titanium Powershift and the Golf Match 1.6 diesel DSG. Currently have the 2008 Focus 2.0 diesel Powershift, which has been faultless. With both new cars, with extras, the advance price is about the same. Which, in your opinion, would be the best?

The Focus. No complaints received of the Powershift that has now been around for about 3 years, and the Ford/PSA 2.0 diesel seems to be a lot more reliable than 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesels from VAG. Sadly numerous complaints about DSGs and about VG's new 1.6 diesel. Video of the new Focus 2.0TDCI Powershift being driven in a manner you will never drive it at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/ford/ford-focus-20...o (I wasn't driving. I was trying to hold the camera.)
