Camper car
Looking for a diesel automatic that I can sleep in if I have to.
I travel a lot abroad for work and a number of times have been stuck or reached somewhere too late to get a hotel, so I need a vehicle that can do regular commuting (outer london), also several long trips abroad each year for work that would not be too bad to sleep the odd night in discreetly if I get stuck.
Would consider a small motability-type vehicle as this might give a roomier feel if stuck in the car, however most seem too short to accommodate or temporarily convert seats etc.
Vehicle must be reliable. Would consider petrol if you feel mileage benefit with this type of mileage really does not make a difference however when abroad I usually make sure to refuel with far cheaper diesel and so far diesel vehicles have cost me less overall.

Sorry, I have not checked for this recently, by which I mean I have not checked how far seats recline. The last I remember was the old shape Honda Civic 5-door. I guess it must be possible to fully recline the seats in a Skoda Superb because there is so much legroom in the back.

We have an older Honda CR-V Executive and want a nearly new soft roader very similar in every respect. But we dislike the front end looks of the new CRV.

I travel about 45,000 miles a year, 90% is motorway use. I currently have a Skoda Superb 1.9 diesel on a 56 plate with long life service intervals.

I am considering buying a Volkswagen Eos but I have heard that there have been problems with leaking roofs. This is also now quite an old model, shortly to be deleted. Any thoughts?

Limousine-like amounts of rear legroom. Clever dual tailgate means it's both a hatch and a saloon. GreenLine model is very economical. A lot of car for the money.
