Paint protection

I'm buying a new Toyota Avensis, with metallic paintwork.
Dealer recommends Paintseal treatment costing £400+.
Is it worth it? (I've no wish to DIY.)

Worth it to the salesman who will trouser at least £300 commission out of the deal.
