What will happen to car tax on hybrid cars next year?
I have a Toyota Prius 2011 which is not at the moment subject to road tax. The nominal tax expires 1st March 2025. My question is what happens after April.

Unlike some hybrid car drivers, you will get away lightly, though your road tax (or vehicle excise duty) will no longer be free. Low- and zero-emission cars registered between March 1, 2001 and March 30, 2017 and currently in VED Band A will be moved to Band B and will have to pay £20 per year, making these vehicles cheaper to operate than those registered after 2017, which will now cost £165 a year.
