Downsizing
Due to poor fuel economy and rising fuel costs I'm changing my Suzuki Grand Vitara diesel (06 plate).
My budget is around £11-£12K for used car. I drive a short urban route to work (20 mile round trip/day); but I also have to do longer rural journeys to work (50 mile round trip per day). Average weekly mileage 250. Mainly me but also for the family (3 of us).
Can you recommend an alternative diesel which has excellent reliability and decent mpg and low emissions?
Considering Octavia, Golf or Focus.
Please note I've read loads of reviews for Octavia, Golf, Focus but these only added to my confusion. Which is the best in terms of reliability; mpg, running cost? Any other good diesels out there?
Appreciate guidance on used car to choose and when the best time is to buy.
