Does my Honda CR-V need headlamp adjustment for driving in Europe?

I have a 2014 Honda CRV 2.2 EX Diesel owned from new and will be taking a short 'break' in France early next month. My car manual seems to state that 'European models' have headlamps suitable for left and right hand drive and need no adjustment or masking 'as per UN-ECE R48 Dover Regulation'! From the comments I have read about driving in Europe it appears that, if i were stopped or involved in an accident, the French Police and;/or other authorities would expect to see headlamp adjusters/deflectors fitted on my car. I am intending take a copy of the car manual page ( with the other 'necessary' documents) and the car handbook confirming the above but would you have any other or additional guidance on this, please?

It can a challenge to get the correct information regarding the requirements for deflectors for your vehicle, and although the handbook states that they are not required this may only reflect the required regulations at the time of publication and therefore not necessarily be accurate today. Given that universal headlamp converters can be purchased for under £10, we would suggest it is better to be safe than sorry.
