The keyless entry on my Toyota RAV4 has stopped working from the driver's side, what could be the issue?

Usually I lock my 2020 RAV4 by touching the top of the door handle with my finger on the two lines. As of yesterday I can no longer lock the door from the drivers side door handle. I can lock the car from the handle on the passengers side. The key fob functions as it should, locking and unlocking the doors and the tailgate.

Could you please give me some indication as to what may have happened? I rang my local Toyota dealer who say that they have not come across this problem before!

If you can still unlock the vehicle using the keyless facility on the passenger side, this would suggest that the system is working correctly but that the sensor on the driver's side has failed. It may be a matter of resetting the system or replacing the sensor on the driver's side, but we would suggest either taking the car to your dealer or to an independent Toyota specialist who may be able to rectify the issue.
