Where can I buy a car with ramp access?
I am 73 next birthday, my wife is 80. I use a wheelchair for access to days out and shopping. The problem is my wife does not drive and therefore need a ramped vehicle to store the wheelchair while I drive the vehicle. My perfect car would have the following: petrol driven, automatic, ramp to help store the wheelchair, side door and and have good mileage and reliability. I could go to £10,000.

Given your budget, we would suggest the best option would be to search online for a used vehicle that has already been converted for disabled use. With the specific requirements you need, you may have to be more flexible with your choice of vehicle as the most important factor will be having the correct adaptations for you and your wife.
There are used car retailers that specialise in selling adapted vehicles, while some car-selling websites allow you to enter keywords so entering the term 'disabled' or 'access' will help to narrow down your search. Many such vehicles tend to be van-based, as they come with sliding doors from the factory and offer the flat floors that make fitting ramps and other adaptations more straightforward.
