Exhaust fumes in the cabin of an old car
Recently there is a strong smell of exhaust inside the car when starting up. I have had the exhaust looked at and have been told there are no leaks and it appears to be OK. The smell goes after a few minutes of driving.

A 1992 may or may not have a catalytic converter. Fumes from before the catalytic converter can kill you. Fumes after the cat won't. Might be something as mundane as a blocked exhaust recirculation valve.

My 2008 Ford Fiesta has started making a knocking noise at the back, next to the exhaust. My local garage has replaced the box, but the nose persists. Any idea why this is?
