Going from two cars to one, can my wife keep her no claims bonus?

My wife and I have our own cars, but now we are retired we are thinking of gong down to just one car. If we use my car my wife is on my insurance so how can she retain her no claims bonus?

Your wife will have accumulated no claims bonus on her own policy which will already be taken into account on your policy as a named driver. Some insurers offer no claims discount for named drivers but usually this is only if they take out a policy in their own name in the future. Although her no claims bonus may not increase, she can still make use of the existing no claims period with each annual renewal.
