Do we need to tell our insurer about my wife's hip replacement?
My wife recently had a hip replacement and is now well on the road to recovery (8 weeks).
Firstly, is she now allowed to drive? And secondly, does she need to inform her insurer of this procedure?

You do need to inform your insurance company about the hip replacement, as some insurers will not offer cover for drivers until a number of weeks have passed since the operation.
The Royal College of Surgeons England advise that driving should be avoided for six weeks after surgery, and that the patient should be fully recovered, free from pain and the sedative effects of any pain relieving medication before driving again.
