Whining noise after replacement alternator
I recently had the alternator replaced on my Golf 1.4 Match. It now has a whining noise, similar to a fan belt slipping, when the engine is running.
This noise becomes higher pitched when accelerating.
Could this be a faulty alternator?

The belt might be too tight putting extra pressure on the bearing.
