Buying a family friendly 4x4

We have a BMW 318 (2003 model) that drives really well but is getting a bit tight for us with 2 small children in the back. We are keen to get a 4x4 that would accommodate a possible 3rd child.

I like the X5, my husband likes the Audi Q7. What would you recommend and why?

The BMW F25 X3 is the best SUV you can buy, assuming, in your case, you can get three kids across the back seat. It's not only more sensible and more economical but actually a better vehicle entirely than the X5, Q7, ML, etc. The problem is a 9 month waiting list.
