Imports

I am replacing a 2003 Mondeo Ghia diesel estate with over eleven months MoT and 175,000 miles on the clock which has been an excellent car, owned by myself since it was three months old.

Motorpoint are advertising a Ford Mondeo Titanium X, diesel, 10 plate, with 5,000 miles for £18,000.

If this is an import what would the likely cost be if I was importing one new myself and are the potential specification differences to a British model likely to be significant or are they normally only minor items. Are there any Ford warranty problems associated with imports?

You cannot feasibly import one yourself as prices in mainland Europe are higher than in the UK. This has probably been imported via Cyprus or Malta. It will probably be the old, pre-facelift model. Not one of Motorpoint's better bargains. No UK Ford warranty, only Motorpoint's.
