Volvo V50 DRIVe and congestion charge
Volvo are heavily advertising their V50 DRIVe model as congestion charge exempt claiming figures of 99g/km CO2 and that it meets Euro 5 standard.
However, search the database TfL uses (vcacarfueldata.org.uk) and you will find the V50 DRIVe is listed as 119g/km CO2 and Euro 4 standard only, therefore not meeting the criteria for the greener vehicle exemption.
As an owner of one of these cars should I bother attempting to register it if the two organisations disagree - or are Volvo in breach of trades descriptions?
