MoT fail - can I park my car on the road?

My car has failed its MoT, can I still keep it on the road outside my house without driving it?

The car will need a valid MoT or be placed in SORN and parked on private land away from the public road.

You cannot park a car on a public road with an expired MoT - you can be prosecuted if caught.
