What's the best, small 4x4?
I am struggling to find any reviews of 'small' 4x4/AWD vehicles - whether petrol/hybrid or electric - most reviews focus on 'big' cars. Perhaps there are not many small ones other than the Fiat Panda 4x4, can you help!?

There are very few small 4x4s. The technology is heavy and expensive - and, crucially, has a negative impact on fuel economy and CO2 emissions. We'd recommend a two-wheel-drive car with a set of winter tyres for most uses. If you really need a 4x4, we rate the Toyota Yaris Cross highly - it's a small SUV with hybrid power and available with all-wheel drive. The Dacia Duster is a good alternative, particularly if you're on a budget.
