Changing Terrano for Seat Alhambra

We tow our caravan (mtpl 1430 cwt) with a 2004 Terrano three-door. We are considering buying a 2005 SEAT Alhambra Stylance, the main reasons being comfort and economy. Please give your opinion.

An Alhambra should have the weight to tow well, but the 1.9 diesel engine will be working hard and if it's been on a VAG LongLife service regime it could already be shot.
