Medical driving licence delays, what can I do?
I have been waiting for more than eight months to find out if I will be issued with a new medical driving licence. My old licence actually expired in September 2020 but because of the pandemic I was given an 11-month extension.
I've sent the DVLA the fee for the licence renewal and my doctor has forwarded all of the required medical information to the DVLA. But I haven't heard anything back and my cheque still hasn't been cashed. I have no idea what's going on, what should I do?

You are not alone - we do know of some drivers waiting a year for their medical driving licence. Assuming you have tried contacting the DVLA by phone or online you could make a formal complaint. Or failing that, contact your local MP.
