Gearbox issues on a Kia Rio

I bought my kia when it was just a year old from a Kia (group) dealer on the Isle of Wight and it had done just 8000 miles.

It was fine at first but soon things started to go wrong including; rust, wheel bearings, window winder, seat belt and then at three years old (28000 mls) it started to jump out of gear when reversing.

I contacted the dealer several times, but nothing was done until the car was four and a half years old when the gearbox expired.

After some negotiating the dealer offered to help with some costs towards a new gearbox and I agreed.

Now, two years later (50000mls) the second gearbox has expired and the dealer is refusing to help.

This was a ghastly cheap and nasty car with virtually no redeeming features. Rust is a known and expected problem. Have not heard of transmission problems. The subsequent Rio was vastly better. Quite a decent little car.
