Buying a new company car

I need to buy, by HP over 3 years, my first company car.

It's a small family partnership and I've got a budget of approx £21k plus £2k that I can put in. I'll need to cover 20k miles a year, carry a few clients and have a decent trade-in value to put up again in three years time.

To and from work is 20 miles of motorway and then in and around urban london. I'm a 2 + 2 family with all assorted luggage. I'm leaning towards a 2.0 TDI SE/Lusso

My Heart is telling me the new Alfa, my head tells me the A3, My family head tells me the new Passat. As a daily runner where will i be least disappointed ? I could trade a few trips to the alfa garage for the excitement or shoudl i enjoy the quiet passat life, space & reliabillity.

Help !

Diesels now have a lot of problems, but you will probably avoid them offloading at three years old, while still under warranty. A Mondeo is a far better car than a Passat. An Alfa diesel might be chancy. 156s and 159s are. An A3 is 25% status, 75% car.

More likely to turn heads than a Vauxhall Astra. Eager petrol and diesel engines.
Good choice of engines. Some petrol engines now chain cam. Comfortable and well built interior. cheap to run 1.6 TDI. Feels very refined especially on the motorway.
Incredibly spacious as a saloon or estate, excellent range of engines and trim levels, comfortable and refined on the move.
