How can I clean the discoloured trim on my Porsche Macan S?
The 'chrome' surrounds on the windows of my Porsche Macan S have taken on a white, milky look and I cannot get the trim clean. Not knowing if the trim is chrome, aluminium or even plastic look-alike I have tried non-abrasive cleaning materials like car polish and a mild all-purpose cleaner but none make even the slightest improvement. I thought that one of them would have brought up the bright finish. What should I use to restore the finish?

The chrome trim on your car is almost certainly metal, and there are a number of products on the market designed specifically to smarten up discoloured chrome. Try Autosol's highly recommended Liquid Chrome Cleaner and some elbow grease to start with, and if that doesn't have the desired effect then the more abrasive and expensive 3M Chrome and Metal Polish is worth a look.
