Keyless entry - how can I remember to switch the engine off?

How can I be reminded to press the engine stop button before I get out of the car now that there are no longer ignition keys to stop the engine? I was brought up to stop the engine with the key and the lock the door, after I had got out, with the same key. Nowadays if I want to lock the car I get out, take the key out of my pocket and lock it.

Because the key is not associated with the running engine I, from time to time, lock the car and leave it with the engine running, sometimes for several hours. I have been called over the PA in a hospital outpatients, my neighbours have knocked on my door to tell me, I have been called on the PA in supermarkets, all to tell me I have left the car locked with the engine running.

My own experience shows that push button start and stop is not a good idea. Why don't they go back to ignition keys?

I'm surprised your car doesn't beep loudly before switching itself off if you leave it with the ignition on. It's one of those things that should become habit, really, just like putting the handbrake on (although you often don't have to do this now...).
