Golf Sportsvan - which engine should I choose?

Is the 1.0 TSI 115 engine sufficient for the Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan or would I be better going for the 1.4 TSI 125 engine?

My main uses are runs up to 20 miles (in fairly hilly countryside ) with the occasional long tour of 2,000 miles twice a year.

I assume they have a good reliability record?

I'd personally go for the 1.0-litre which is surprisingly punchy, emits a pleasing thrum as you accelerate up to speed and is barely audible when you reach a cruise. We hear about fewer problems relating to it than the 1.4-litre engine.

How reliable is the DSG gearbox?
I am considering buying an Arona automatic, but concerned that is has a DSG gearbox. Should I be worried?
