Do DCT gearboxes disengage when the car is at a standstill?
Do dual clutch gearboxes disengage their clutches when the car is at a standstill with brakes operated? I happened to read this but I have always gone into neutral, thinking I was saving clutch wear due to drag.

No, it will not fully disengage because it will anticipate that you will want to move forward again at a moments notice.
That's why you should always put the gearbox into N and apply the handbrake. Not only does this save clutch pack wear but it also prevents you from blinding the driver behind you with your brake lights.
