Buying an ex-hire car
I am considering buying a Golf 1.4S and have two options:
April 09 (09 plate) with 7.5k miles on clock for £9490 - this is an ex Euro Car hire car.
Or:
Sept 09 (59 plate) with 9.6k miles on clock for £10000 with one owner.
Which would you recommend?

First pop the bonnet and make sure it has the newer chain cam 1.4. If belt cam, don't buy it. This is a lousy engine. Otherwise, for £510 more you're getting a 5 month old younger car on a later plate, with 5 months more warranty to run, so I'd go for that one.
