Pinners needled
You addressed a query from I.M. of Pinner when he asked about run flat tyres on his BMW 535d M Sport. I drive a 2006/56 BMW 330i SE Coupe auto with 19" alloys and have also wondered about replacing my tyres with conventional ones. In your reply you advised about speed cushions but did not advise IM if he should/could use conventional tyres. Could you please advise me if conventional tyres would be better on my car?

Any 30/35 profile tyres on 19" wheels will be harsh. But the new 40 profile Bridgestone RFT3s on 18" wheels ride at least as well as conventional tyres of the same size. So you need to change your wheels as well as your tyres.
