I purchased a new Range Rover Vogue TDV8 in November 2008. It has had one service, covered 19,000 not exciting or speedy miles, and has nearly scrubbed through a set of tyres. More worryingly there are moaning and whining noises from front wheel bearings? Diff? And I have been told that these are prone to failure on this model. Please advise.

The tyre wear may or may not be normal. But the groaning diff is a warranty matter. Send a letter by recorded delivery to the dealer outlining your concerns. Then, if he says not bad enough to fix under warranty, you have evidence that you complained of the fault well within the warranty period.
