Recycled RAV
What advise would you give to my parents who are replacing their 02 RAV-4? Following an accident their RAV-4 is unfortunately a write off. Mum loved the car, the higher ride, comfort, everything. Only slight negative being the rear tailgate but that just required leaving space when parking if shopping. I wondered what model RAV-4 you would recommend and what other options you think would be worth considering?

Current model Suzuki Grand Vitaras are similar if slightly cruder. Current RAV-4s are bigger. As are current CR-Vs, though these now have hatchacks rather than side hinged rear doors. The new smaller 4WD from Toyota is the Urban Cruiser 1.4D-4D, the only 4WD under 130g/km CO2.
