I am 76, very fit, have driven a 1995 Nissan Almera from new, and am looking to change it. I want a car of similar size as I take 2 grandsons in it, also need a higher seat. I have looked at the Hyundai i10 that I found a bit small, also the Nissan Micra that I liked. What is your opinion of the Micra? The garage had a 2008 model with metallic paint and air conditioning for £7,795. Would that be a better deal than scrapping the Almera? I am thinking of looking at the Toyota Yaris and the Honda Jazz. As you will gather I find it difficult to decide. I am a widow and my son is in Dublin so cannot help.

Micras are okay, but not very roomy. A roomier alternative is a stretched Micra, called the Note, made in the same Sunderland factory, with high seats end extra versatility. Definitely check that out.
