Roughage with the smooth

I am moving to a country that has uneven road surfaces and potholes. Which vehicle would you suggest that I should take.

The best thing I've driven quickly on very rough roads was (surprisingly) a current model Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 diesel automatic. It seemed to come alive on them. Probably the strongest vehicle underneath is the current model Mitsubishi L200 4WD pick-up. I’ve watched them being built.
