Autos and crosses
Further to recent correspondence, I have narrowed my choice down to a Smart or a FIAT 500C, the Nissan Micra C+C being no longer available. Do you know anything about the 500C as it is new? I imagine it is not much different from the 500. Which of the two would you recommend I should get? I cannot test drive either myself as they would have to be adapted for my disability (left leg drive) but my husband has driven the Smart and will try the 500C for me. As I said previously, it is a 2nd car, and I do very little mileage. Your opinion would be valued.

The FIAT 500C is tested and video tested at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=396 . It’s a cracking little car. The Dualogic automated manual fitted to FIATs (including the 500C) is tested in the FIAT QUBO MPV at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road_tests/index.htm?id=365 . The 500 does not get the suspension improvements of the 500C until the autumn (2010 model year). But waiting lists for 500s and 500Cs are very long anyway.
