Your site and immediate replies to emails have been a godsend in the selection of a suitable small automatic for my wife. We narrowed it down to a choice of five: Fiesta/Colt/Jazz/Swift/Ibiza. Then road tested the lot. The result might surprise you, maybe not. Only two remained in the running, the Swift and Ibiza, the other three were rejected as having had jerky or lifeless transmissions. My wife chose the Suzuki Swift in the end because it was such a lively and comfortable car in which she sat high and felt relaxed with good all round visibility. I concur, it really is a ladies car and the only one in the running if it must be an auto. The results really did surprise me. The happy bunny collects her car on Thursday.

Quite a lot of people are going for the Swift for that reason. Excellent handling. Sensible price. And a proper 4-speed torque converter auto instead of an automated manual.
