Pathy news
My Pathfinder clutch has burned out. 2 years old and only 19,600 miles. Still under warranty, but no use, I had to pay £687 and over £100 on car hire. The Nissan warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Customer Care is not interested because main dealer put the fault as burned out clutch. Could not get the old parts because they had skipped them straight away.

Clutches are rarely covered by manufacturer warranty for more than a year simply because a determined owner could, if he wanted to, destroy one in 15 minutes. That said, there have been more than a few complaints of failed clutches on Pathfinders and D40 Navaras.
