Police scamera action

Is it not time for the introduction of an independent body to monitor police prosecutions for minor speeding offences? On reading CL’s tale I feel the real point is being lost in your reply which is that the police are not using common sense in prosecuting someone that is doing a speed that 99% of motorists do on motorways and if they did not the motorways would grind to a halt, not to mention the consequential effect on the economy. Such prosecutions trivialise speeding and do not promote road safety, which should be the police prime concern.
