Hunchback of Bad Soden
I recently bought a 2006 BMW 525d Touring with sport seats. Am I alone in finding these seats fairly uncomfortable? The backrest is totally without shoulder support, and longer journeys become a strain on the shoulder and neck muscles. No amount of adjustment can improve the support. And the headrest is at best a good hand's width from my head. Do you know of any solution? Perhaps the current (2009) seat has a better-shaped backrest and one could get it changed, if that is technically a possibility. I would be interested in your comments and recommendations.

I find a lot of German ‘Sport Seats’ carry the side support bolsters too high. This is fine for very tall men or for anyone with narrow shoulders, but does not suit anyone shorter than 6' with normal width shoulders. See if the dealer will swap the sport seats for standard seats.
